The iconic Grade II* listed Battersea Power Station, a legendary London landmark, has been brought back to life as one of the most exciting and innovative mixed-use neighbourhoods in the world – a place for locals, tourists, and residents to enjoy a unique blend of shops, bars, restaurants, entertainment venues, parks, and historical spaces.

The Watches of Switzerland showroom is situated on the ground floor directly off Malaysian Square – entering through the magnificent Turbine Hall A which was built in the 1930s and evokes the lavish Art Deco glamour of its era.

Leading with a dedicated Rolex room at 82 sqm, Rolex welcomes clients to a contemporary interior fusing rich tones of walnut, leather, marble, and striated limestone with the internationally identifiable Rolex green tones. The room will provide a luxurious environment for clientele to view a curated range of timepieces in the Rolex collection.

In addition, the Watches of Switzerland showroom will have a dedicated space for Cartier – born from the Maison’s intention to align the retailers-watch specialists’ image to the one of the worldwide Cartier boutiques, thus creating the perfect synergy between the two different contexts. The “Cartier Red”, Maison’s color par excellence, is used in small touches, to highlight the refined contours of the “focus wall”, which appears perfectly framed and illuminated by warm lights. Hublot, Longines and Grand Seiko complete the remaining branded areas with dedicated space for Zenith, BVLGARI, Chanel and Bremont.

Mono-brand boutiques are an integral part of The Watches of Switzerland’s Group’s multi- channel expansion strategy, alongside multi-brand stores, airport, and online retail opportunities, in its existing markets of the UK, Europe and the US. The opening of the new OMEGA, Breitling, TAG Heuer & TUDOR boutiques in Battersea will enhance the expansion of their mono-brand portfolio in the heart of one of central London’s largest, most visionary, and eagerly anticipated new developments.

Situated on the left-hand side of Turbine Hall A, the new OMEGA boutique has an elegant glass wrap around frontage, boasts a sophisticated design, featuring gold, leather, and rich wood, combined with exclusive lighting to create a cosy atmosphere, that perfectly highlights the exquisite collection of OMEGA watches.

“The opening of the OMEGA Boutique in Battersea Power Station in partnership with The Watches of Switzerland Group is an exciting moment for the brand, due to the iconic London location. We are thrilled to offer a place where South London OMEGA enthusiasts can find the full extent of the collection and the most renowned pieces.” Andrea Nunziata, Managing Director Swatch Group UK and Brand Director Omega UK.

Breitling’s new 150m2 boutique is housed in the centre’s second turbine and every design detail has been considered to honour the buildings rich and diverse history. It is designed in the brand’s signature industrial loft style, which features walnut furniture, dark oak floors, concrete and brass accents, and exposed brick walls – a fitting tribute to the old power station.

‘The Battersea Power Station project is one of the most exciting retail developments to happen this century and marks a historic landmark in delivering a totally unique and world class experience to visitors, which is why we decided to introduce a new milestone to our Breitling presence by adding a café concept within the demise of this amazing boutique. For the first time in the UK our clients can not only explore our vast collection of watches, but also immerse themselves in the world of Breitling though our extended brand offering, that says everything about our casual, inclusive, and sustainable approach. Our thanks to The Watches of Switzerland Group who have partnered with Breitling on this new journey.’ Gavin Murphy, Breitling UK Managing Director

The TAG Heuer boutique which can also be found in Turbine Hall A, will find a space that represents the DNA of TAG Heuer. The interior of the boutique reflects TAH Heuer’s motoring heritage with tones of grey and sleek mirrored units.

“This is an exciting time for TAG Heuer as we continue to grow our retail boutiques around the UK, along with longstanding partner The Watches of Switzerland Group. This new boutique in the highly anticipated Battersea Power Station will showcase the best of TAG Heuer and we are delighted to open bringing our customers the full TAG Heuer experience in this new retail destination”. Rob Diver, Managing Director of TAG Heuer UK and Ireland.

“We are delighted to be opening multiple showrooms within the iconic former Battersea Power Station. The Grade II* listed building has undertaken extensive renovations to become a leading retail destination and to be a part of the journey from the very beginning is such a privilege. As a Group, we strive to be the best retailer in the markets we serve, and this historic London landmark enables the expertise of our teams to deliver the finest timepieces in a location we believe will create memories to last a lifetime.”  Craig Bolton, President of the Watches of Switzerland Group UK & Europe.
