Tampa Bay Lightning’s Arena Adds One-Click Checkout for In-Seat Purchases

The Tampa Bay Lightning and Amalie Arena have partnered with Fast to provide a streamlined “headless checkout” experience when fans purchase merchandise.

Guests attending games and events at the arena can scan QR codes placed on cup holders at the arena to make instant purchases using Fast Checkout for Lightning gear, including the “Item of the Game,” future tickets or merchandise from the event. The one-click checkout experience eliminates redirects to merchant sites that require logins and entering additional information.

“[It’s] a unique opportunity to enhance the fan experience year-round at Amalie Arena,” said Jarrod Dillon, CMO of Vinik Sports Group, parent company of the Tampa Bay Lighning in a statement. “Our partnership will allow Vinik Sports Group to enable fast and easy purchasing via QR code and one-click checkout to our fans on TampaBaySports.com.”

The news comes after Fast announced new “headless checkout” features last month that allow consumers to buy directly from online and mobile platforms.
