Gold Coast Airport will add 14 more retailers to its existing and new terminals as part of a broader expansion project.

The new arrivals – set to open later this year – will include a cafe bar and bookshop in partnership with Golosi Food Emporium, a range of eateries including a Mediterranean and Asian themed restaurant, a news, convenience and souvenir outlet, an expanded 1342sqm duty-free store operated by Heinemann, and a children’s store.

Last month, more than 555,000 people travelled through Gold Coast Airport, back to the levels of before the pandemic.

Queensland Airports CEO Chris Mills said the project was moving forward following the successful completion of the tender process.

“This retail refresh is the missing piece for Gold Coast Airport and will further improve the experience for our passengers, as travel rebuilds and connections are re-established,” he said.
