Korean restaurant chain Gami Chicken and Beer saw its sales more than doubled in the second half of last year, upon the introduction of healthier menu options.

The restaurant, first launched in 2006, saw sales growth of 172 per cent from June to December, thanks to the addition of individual menu items. Sales of the individual items surged 152 per cent during the period.

“Gami Chicken has gradually introduced individual menu items such as Bibimbap, Kkochi Salad, Gochujang Chicken, and a Gami Bowl to the menu, providing guests with a healthier, wider taste of Korea,” said Gami Chicken and Beer executive director Jun Lee.

“Some of our individual menu choices offer healthier alternatives, without moving too far away from our Korean influences.”

Gami Chicken and Beer intends to roll out an updated menu with expanded healthier options before the middle of this year.
