Kroger is the largest supermarket operator in the U.S. and the retailer is using its size to deploy technology and analytics to understand its customers as well, if not better than, its smaller competition. “We are leveraging data to engage with customers through digital channels such as apps and website logins to make the customer interactions relevant, and bring to life personalized shopping experiences,” said Yael Cosset, senior vice president and chief information officer at Kroger.
