Bojangles To Open First Location in Los Angeles
April 17, 2024
Bojangles, a popular restaurant chain known for its breakfast, Southern-style chicken, biscuits, and tea, is expanding to the West Coast. By early 2025, the Carolina-born chain will open its first location in Los Angeles. The expansion comes as part of a 30-unit agreement signed by the company, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The expansion into Los Angeles is spearheaded by entrepreneur Lorenzo Boucetta and Poulet Brothers, LLC. They aim to bring Bojangles’ Southern flavor to the California market by 2025. Bojangles currently operates 824 locations across 17 states, including North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia.
“From the moment I was first introduced to Bojangles, I knew immediately that this was a brand that I wanted to be a part of. The delicious chicken, biscuits, and breakfast, combined with strong unit economics and unparalleled support made the decision a no-brainer for me. The opportunity to grow Bojangles in California presented itself at the perfect moment, and I am thrilled to bring this iconic brand to the market for the first time.”

Jose Armario, CEO of Bojangles, expressed excitement about bringing the brand to Los Angeles residents. The company plans to open 30 new locations over the next six years. Franchising opportunities are available for entrepreneurs interested in joining the Bojangles business model and bringing Southern cuisine to communities across California.
In a press release, Bojangles emphasized that potential franchisees should “possess strong financial capacity, relevant business or restaurant experience, and a sophisticated professional background.” Ideal candidates should be capable of managing multiple units, with a preference for the operating partner to reside in the franchise’s market. Bojangles encourages franchisees to consider building at least five to 10 locations, particularly in larger metro cities.
The expansion to Los Angeles marks a significant step for Bojangles as it continues to grow its presence across the country. With its craveable breakfast and Southern-style offerings, Bojangles looks forward to serving its unique menu to new customers in California.
