Coles is set to open its first Coles Local supermarket store in Perth, Western Australia, in November.

The new store will be located in South Perth’s Angelo Street and will sell products from 45 suppliers unique to Coles Local, including bread and pastries from Mary Street Bakery, artisan deli goods from The Farm Margaret River, pantry items from Dirty Clean Food and convenience meals from Hail the Kale.

Customers can also buy everyday items, mochi and mini gelati desserts, frozen fruit Scoop & Weigh, and bread warmers delivered to the store daily.

Coles CEO of commercial and express, Leah Weckert, said Western Australian customers value local produce and the expansion is a “natural fit” for the business.

“We think WA customers are going to love the local products we have included in our range, which celebrates the delicious, quality produce Western Australia has to offer.”

Margaret River Muesli Company MD, Warwick Howard, said his company welcomes the opportunity to gain further exposure through the Coles Local outlets.

Coles Local supermarkets were first launched in 2018 in the eastern states of Australia, offering a selection of local produce to customers through partnerships with local suppliers. Currently, the retailer operates 16 Coles Local stores.
