IKEA posts record sales and cuts it carbon footprint
January 18, 2022
IKEA reported that its annual carbon emissions in 2021 fell six percent below pre-pandemic levels. The company, which has pledged to be climate positive by 2030, achieved this gain while also racking up record sales. “We have (since baseline year 2016) managed to do a third of what our ambition is for 2030 so we are well on track. Then there are big challenges ahead and we need to put all our energy and efforts into securing that we continue on a positive trend towards this goal,” said Inter IKEA CEO Jon Abrahamsson.
