Children’s shoe retailer Minnow Designs has ceased operations citing tough trading conditions.

“After four years of hits with bushfires, La Nina and Covid all heavily impacting our business, we are burnt out and have decided to close the business,” said Stacey Fisher, co-founder and director of Minnow Designs.

Established in 2016 by Lorraine Nguyen and Stacey Fisher, the brand sells a range of waterproof beach shoes and sandals for kids.

The company’s products are made from neoprene (wetsuit material), are lightweight and waterproof and come in bright colourways.

In Australia, the brand can be found in David Jones, The Iconic, and Rebel stores – and in the US at Nordstrom. Since closure is imminent, final sales will end this month, although the company is hoping it may find a buyer.
