Walmart Sued by US Agency Over Test That Screened Out Disabled Workers
September 19, 2023
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has filed a lawsuit against Walmart, alleging that the company wrongfully terminated hourly workers with disabilities who couldn’t pass a computer-based test unrelated to their job duties. The test, implemented by Walmart nationwide in 2015, reportedly lacked accommodations for workers with disabilities as required by federal law. The EEOC has previously filed lawsuits against Walmart for alleged discrimination against workers and job applicants with disabilities.
