On Wednesday, 18th October 2023, The Hummingbird Bakery, is excited to open its latest location on Wardour Street in Soho, London. The newest space for the iconic American style bakery at 800 sq.ft will be serving their signature cupcakes, traditional American pies, birthday cakes, cookies and Red Velvet ice cream.

To celebrate the Soho launch, the first 100 visitors will receive a chance to try the latest Hummingbird creations, the all new Black Bottom Cookies and customisable Cupcake Cups. The celebrated Hummingbird Bakershop Quartet, will be on hand, to brighten Soho with their latest hits.

Simone Tasker, Operations Manager of The Hummingbird Bakery comments: “We are so happy to be returning to Soho, the store is beautiful and we are so excited to share our ‘Create your Own’ cupcake and ice cream station. We will be creating the most indulgent treats for our guests. All our ice cream, cupcakes and cookies can be customised to your liking with a range of frosting and sprinkles – so much fun and so delicious! Soho is such an incredible part of London and such a huge part of our history at The Hummingbird Bakery. We can’t wait to return!”

The new Soho bakery continues to showcase its American roots with a sleek and modern design like other branches. It will feature neutral colours with accents of gold, marbled worktops, wooden floors, curved walls and flashes of the signature Hummingbird Pink. Guests can have their treats and celebration cakes customised at the Create Your Own Station by a team of expert bakers and cake decorators. In celebration of the Soho’s opening all stores will be extending the Affogato menu – S’morogato – which will include red velvet ice cream over either coffee or hot chocolate, marshmallows and cookie crunch. Other new products on the menu are Black Bottom Frosted Cookies and new customisable Cupcake Cup.

The Hummingbird Bakery’s charity partner, Terrence Higgins Trust, UK’s leading HIV and Sexual Health Charity, will be at the opening and collecting for the cause.

The Hummingbird Bakery have been pioneers of the Red Velvet cake in Great Britain ever since their initial launch in 2004. The brand has amassed a legion of devout followers and is instantly recognisable for their heavenly celebration cakes.
