Adelaide Tools rebrands ahead of expansion out of South Australia

Adelaide Tools is being rebranded to Tool Kit Depot as the business gathers steam for an expansion out of South Australia next month.

The business was picked up by Bunnings in August of 2020, and will be launching four stores in Western Australia before Christmas.

According to Bunnings’ managing director Mike Schneider, the business has been trialling new concepts in recent stores in preparation of the move, all of which saw positive responses from customers.

“We’re really proud to be creating opportunities for locals to join our really experienced team,” said Schneider.

“These stores will build on the success of Adelaide Tools in South Australia and the full-service offer and genuine expert advice the team are renowned for.”

The first of the four Took Kit Depot stores will open next month in Belmont, Perth, with the others to launch throughout the Perth and Peel regions. More stores will be launched across Australia and New Zealand in time, Bunnings said.

The business was acquired as part of Bunnings’ strategy to create a better experience for its trade customers – a customer base that played a part in the new name: Tool Kit Depot was chosen to create familiarity with trade customers, and positions the store as a place to get what they need.

“We’re really excited about our plans for the future of the business under the new name,” Schneider said.
