Scotch & Soda plans new stores in capital cities, including Perth

Amsterdam-based fashion label, Scotch & Soda, is ramping up its global expansion plan, including upcoming brick-and-mortar store launches across Asia-Pacific.

So far this year, the brand has opened 34 physical stores and 27 shop-in-shops. The expansion plan will see the opening of 15 new brick-and-mortar stores and seven shop-in-shops across key cities including Mumbai, Perth, Paris, Madrid, Philadelphia, Charlotte and Gothenburg.

The plan is also in line with the launch of its first online store on China’s Tmall. Scotch & Soda said brick-and-mortar openings will follow soon in key Chinese cities.

“It is indeed a very exciting time for our company despite the challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in the retail industry,” said Frederick Lukoff, CEO of Scotch & Soda.

“We are pursuing the expansion of our retail network at a global level, strengthening our footprint in markets where we are already present, as well as entering key markets such as China, that we see as full of potential to reach new customers and introduce them to our brand.”

According to the company, the acceleration of the brand’s global retail network will be combined with the brand’s omnichannel and unified commerce ambition, to be completed in the first quarter of next year.

Founded in 1985 in Amsterdam, Scotch & Soda champions individuality, authenticity and the power of self-expression to create the unique – an attitude reflected in its designs.
