Australian eyewear brand Bailey Nelson is on the brink of its 100th store after revealing plans for two more outlets in New Zealand.

New stores are about to open at Auckland’s Botany Town Centre and Sylvia Park Shopping Centre, each offering eye testing at least five days a week.

Peter Winkle, co-founder of Bailey Nelson, said the store expansion plan is part of the company’s strategy to increase its footprint in New Zealand.

“Our new locations in Sylvia Park and Botany Town Centre will not only appeal to our core demographic, but they will also help to connect our brand with Auckland’s outer suburbs and a more diverse consumer base.

Each of the shopping centres houses more than 200 retailers. The New Zealand stores will feature 71 new frames in a range of colours.

The two new New Zealand outlets will take the network to 99 stores. The brand, established in 2012, specialises in designer high-end frames. It currently has stores across Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the UK.
