Australian fashion retailer APG & Co along with charity organisation Thread Together will donate 9000 items of unworn Sportscraft and Jag stock valued at over $500,000 to flood-hit communities.

Thread Together collaborates with Australia’s largest clothing suppliers to donate clothes to people in need across communities. APG is also planning on providing additional support to the distressed community based on requirements.

APG & Co CEO Elisha Hopkinson said the company was encouraged to help after seeing how the country has rallied together to support the community during a time of crisis.

“You can’t help but be affected by the turmoil these local communities are experiencing from this natural disaster, so our business is compelled to provide some form of relief with what we do best,” she said.

Donations will be directed through charity agencies ordering stock from online portals to supply to flood-affected communities or through individuals who reach out directly on the brand’s online portals will be given gift cards to access stock as needed.

Furthermore, pop up hubs will be set up in three locations across Lismore next week, Indooroopilly and Milton for the next six months.
